Saqqara takes its name from the ancient burial ground in Egypt where a remarkable artifact—often referred to as the “Saqqara Bird”—was discovered. This small wooden model, dating back over two millennia, is believed by some researchers to represent one of humanity’s earliest explorations into aerodynamic design, and it has been hailed as a precursor to modern conventional aircraft.
